Role OverviewAs a Software Development Engineer, you will collaborate with experienced cross-disciplinary Amazonians to conceive, design, and bring innovative products and services to market. You will work on scalable services technology in a team environment, solving complex problems and getting to see the impact of your work first-hand. The team designs, builds, and maintains scalable networking services powering AWS Transit Gateway—a cloud-based hub that simplifies connectivity across VPCs, on-premises networks, and multi-region architectures.
What You Will Do
Key job responsibilities include collaborating with experienced cross-disciplinary Amazonians to conceive, design, and bring innovative products and services to market. You will design and build innovative technologies in a large distributed computing environment, create solutions to run predictions on distributed systems with exposure to innovative technologies at incredible scale and speed, and build distributed storage, index, and query systems that are scalable, fault-tolerant, low cost, and easy to manage/use.

Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
- 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience
- 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
