Job Description
The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO) is seeking a Software Development Specialist 2 to join its Information Technology Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing software solutions to support core business applications, integrating with external systems, and providing ongoing production support. Requirements

  • Develop Apex classes, triggers, Web Components, and Flow automations to extend Salesforce functionality and support core business applications
  • Contribute to the design, development, testing, and deployment of Salesforce applications
  • Integrate Salesforce with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs or custom web services
  • Work with integration tools and middleware platforms such as MuleSoft, SSIS, and Tableau to build and maintain system integrations
  • Provide ongoing production support, including troubleshooting, and issue resolution for Salesforce and related IT systems
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including system design documents and user guides
  • Follow established development standards, coding best practices, and version control processes
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, business units to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables
  • Prepare and deliver status reports to team leads, project managers, and business stakeholders
