Role Overview

The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency is seeking a Software Development Specialist 2 to develop software applications and perform analysis and design while working with business personnel to identify and document system software requirements. The successful candidate will identify problems and develop potential solutions, conduct testing, and support user acceptance testing. They will also perform software implementation tasks, including source control and deployment activities, and help with the development, implementation, and monitoring of IT quality assurance standards and testing.

Requirements

  • 48 months combined work experience in designing and performing systems analysis, developing and/or modifying programs for computer applications, recommending application solutions, and testing and correcting programs
  • 12 months work experience in the primary technology as specified by the agency position description and job posting
  • completion of associate core program in computer science or information systems and 30 months combined work experience in designing and performing systems analysis, developing and/or modifying programs for computer applications, recommending application solutions, and testing and correcting programs
  • completion of undergraduate core program in computer science or information systems and 24 months combined work experience in designing and performing systems analysis, developing and/or modifying programs for computer applications, recommending application solutions, and testing and correcting programs
