Role OverviewVisionist has an exciting new opportunity for a Software Engineer (AI-Assisted Developer Tooling) on our largest PRIME contract. Our team of Analysts and Engineers is motivated by the direct impact on the mission, crafting specialized tools for enhanced efficiency and quick iterations for our operations user base.
What You Will Do
Design and implement AI-assisted IDE features and developer tooling capabilities, integrate agent-based systems to automate repetitive developer tasks, and experiment with autonomous or semi-autonomous agents to enhance development workflows.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline
- 12 years of experience in software development
- Strong software engineering skills in one or more modern programming languages
- Experience with IDEs, developer tools, or build and test systems
- Hands-on experience with AI- or LLM-powered developer tools
- Ability to prototype, evaluate, and refine experimental tooling
- Solid understanding of software development workflows and best practices
