The Software Engineer III participates in the technical design and implementation of new products or enhancements to existing applications, based on business requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of technical experience in software development
  • Up to 5% travel required for this role
  • Banking or accounting experience
  • iSeries and RPG development
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Engineering principles and practices within a professional discipline
  • Ability to assess circumstances using sophisticated analytical and problem-solving techniques to identify root cause
  • Strong knowledge in the following areas: Knowledge in software development methodologies, Domain and industry knowledge, Awareness of business issues as they impact overall project plans
  • Works on moderately complex and diverse projects
  • Exercises good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
  • Ability to demonstrate strong skills in the following areas: Software design and implementation, Analysis and design at multiple-project level, Research, analysis and problem resolution, Communication and interpersonal skills, Strong organization and time management skills
  • Ability to create deliverables for each phase of the development cycle
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks, with minimal assistance, while remaining flexible to changing requirements
  • Ability to provide task estimates including effort and cost; adjusts estimates as needed
