Software Engineer (Junior) with TS/SCI w/Poly

BCT LLC is seeking a Software Engineer (Junior) to design, develop, test, deploy, document, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems. The ideal candidate must possess an active TS/SCI w/Poly. This position is located in Annapolis Junction, Maryland, and some telework is authorized.

What You Will Do

The Software Engineer will design, develop, test, deploy, document, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems based upon documented requirements. The engineer will work individually or as part of a team, reviewing and testing software components for adherence to design requirements and documenting test results.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have strong C/C++, Bash, and Python programming skills, experience developing in Unix, and a working knowledge of Configuration Management (CM) tools and Web Services implementation.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or related discipline
• Four (4) years of software experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree
• Strong C/C++, Bash, and Python programming skills
• Experience developing in Unix
• Understanding of software unit and integration testing, bug reporting and tracking, documentation, and production software support and maintenance
• Comprehension of software engineering fundamentals, object-oriented programming, relational databases, scripting knowledge, and an advanced level of development operations skill set
• Understanding of AGILE software development methodologies and use of standard software development tool suites
