Job Description
Baylor Genetics is seeking a data/software engineer with strong knowledge and hands-on experience in genetic knowledge management, data engineering, and software engineering to develop and maintain our comprehensive genetic knowledgebases.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in computer science, a comparable program, or an equivalent qualification
  • 3+ years of comprehensive experience in related field
  • Experience in Python, R, or C++
  • Experience in data ETL, data management, and data sharing for genomic and clinical applications
  • Knowledgeable of database management systems in SQL database
  • Understanding of database architecture, design, and optimization
  • DevOps experience such as unit testing, CI/CD is a plus
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
