Role Overview

Sentar is seeking a Software Engineer to support the U.S. Air Force's Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD)/Sentinel program. The software engineer will develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems based on documented requirements. The role involves working individually or as part of a team, reviewing and testing software components, and resolving software problem reports.

What You Will Do

Develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems, review and test software components, resolve software problem reports, and provide input to the software components of system design.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have experience in software development, UI design, and development, and familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering languages and concepts. Proficiency in Agile, C/C++, and Java/JS expertise, as well as experience with Atlassian tools, JIRA/Confluence, and safety critical and nuclear critical software development, are preferred.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain SAP access
  • Active Secret clearance with investigation/adjudicated within the past 6 years
  • Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline
  • Experience in software development in at least one object-oriented programming language such as Java or C++
  • Experience with UI design and development, or experience Interpreting complex algorithms and requirements for implementation
  • Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering languages (SysML/UML) and concepts
