Role Overview

Join a team that builds and supports critical insurance technology solutions. As a Software Engineer, you will design, develop, and enhance scalable applications, APIs, and integrations using modern technologies such as Java, Spring Boot, REST/SOAP APIs, DB2, JavaScript, React, and Kubernetes.

What You Will Do

Develop, test, maintain, and support application features and enhancements using Java, REST/SOAP APIs, and DB2 technologies. Perform adequate peer review on any changes in supported systems and provide rotating on-call support of production systems.

Requirements

  • 5+ yrs. of professional development experience
  • Strong working experience developing web applications in Java (preferably versions 11+)
  • Strong working experience with DB2 or SQL Server databases
  • Software Development Life Cycle experience
  • Atlassian suite experience is a plus (Jira, Bamboo, Confluence)
  • Git Hub Enterprise experience is a plus (As code repository as well as managing build and deployment)
  • Ability to thrive and produce results with little or no supervision in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to interact seamlessly at all levels with both technical and business stakeholders
  • Ability to quickly adapt and learn new technologies and systems
  • Superior problem solving and analytical skills
  • Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in related field or equivalent experience
