Role OverviewAtlas Tech, a veteran-owned IT company, is seeking a highly skilled Compute Warfare Software (SW) Platform Engineer to provide technical leadership and oversight for modern Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) architectures supporting Navy/DoD Tactical Networks. The role requires a deep technical understanding of Kubernetes and modern PaaS platforms, as well as experience evaluating software architectures and vendor solutions.
What You Will Do
The successful candidate will provide technical leadership and oversight to software developers and third-party vendors, lead lab-based evaluations of new PaaS and container technologies, and ensure modern PaaS and Kubernetes-based architectures meet all tactical, operational, and security requirements.

Requirements
- US Citizenship
- Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Security Clearance
- Deep technical understanding of Kubernetes and modern PaaS platforms
- Demonstrated experience evaluating software architectures, vendor solutions, and developer deliverables
- Strong knowledge of IT enterprise services (email, chat, collaboration, monitoring, backups, file services)
- Experience overseeing automation, CI/CD pipelines, and DevSecOps deployment methodologies
- Solid foundation in Linux/Windows OS, networking, cloud-native design, and microservices architectures
- Thorough understanding of ICAM, RBAC, IAM, and Active Directory integration
- Working knowledge of DoD Systems Engineering processes and tactical mission systems
- Strong documentation and oral communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a highly technical, fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn emerging technologies
