Role Overview

As a Software Systems Engineer I at KNAPP, you will be responsible for installing and setting up logistics software at customer sites, programming software customizations, and developing queries and reports. You will work in a mixed Linux and Windows environment and have the opportunity to work with different international departments. You will also support customers during the startup phase and provide training and support on issues related to our software and logistics.

What You Will Do

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include installation and setup of logistics software, programming of software customizations, development of queries and reports, organization and preparation of software, project-related work with customers, and adaptation of interface software.

Why It Might Be a Fit

To be successful in this role, you will need to have knowledge of C++ or Java development, SQL and PL-SQL experience, experience with Linux, and a solid understanding of network infrastructures and logistical workflows and processes. You will also need to be able to create workflows and processes in written form and sequence diagrams, and develop and implement accordingly.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of C++ or Java development
  • SQL and PL-SQL experience
  • Experience with Linux
  • Solid understanding of network infrastructures
  • Knowledge of current software development technologies and design patterns (OOA, UML, common patterns)
  • Capability to create workflows and processes in written form and sequence diagrams, and to develop and implement accordingly
  • Strong knowledge in one of the following fields: Database development; process development, UI/HMI development
