Job Description
The Homeland Security Sector at Leidos has a dynamic opportunity for an experienced Software Test Engineer to join an established, high-performing team delivering mission-critical capabilities of international importance in San Diego, CA. In this role, you will contribute to the next evolution of a critical NATO application, including rehosting and verification of an existing system onto new hardware, as well as development and test of a modernized React front-end user interface with a Java-based backend.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance required to start, with ability to obtain and maintain DoD Top Secret security clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field and 4–8 years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 2–6 years of relevant experience
  • Experience developing test plans, designing and writing test cases, executing tests, analyzing results, tracking defects, and contributing to test metrics and reports
  • Experience tracing test cases to system and capability requirements
  • Ability to determine appropriate regression test scope based on new feature implementation
  • Experience working across multiple test environments
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while contributing to team objectives
  • Ability to quickly learn complex systems and adapt to evolving priorities
