Job Description
Kinsale Insurance is seeking a dynamic Solutions Architect to join our growing Technology team. This role will contribute to the strategic vision for how technology can enable organizational change and competitive differentiation.

Requirements

  • Act as a thought leader providing guidance to teams on implementing architectural patterns and standards to elevate architectural maturity
  • Collaborate with team members, technical resources, and business stakeholders to plan, design, develop, test, and maintain business applications
  • Assess, select and recommend the optimal set of technologies (as part of a solutions architecture) to develop a particular solution
  • Create and articulate solutions architecture artifacts that clearly demonstrate the key architectural decisions, patterns and technologies within a proposed solution
  • Develop and socialize reusable enterprise design patterns, reference architectures, prototypes and POCs to accelerate delivery and standardize practices
  • Evaluate current-state systems and enable teams to migrate legacy platforms to target-state in incremental, low-risk waves
  • Effectively communicate with stakeholders on options, risks, trade-offs and constraints associated with architectural recommendations
  • Ensure compliance with non-functional requirements (security, scalability, reliability, performance, usability) through architecture reviews
  • Stay current on emerging technologies and propose relevant changes to the existing architecture
