Role Overview

The Sourcing Analyst position is responsible for complying with agency procurement policies and procedures, receiving and opening formal bids, and compiling information for Release and Permit and/or Controlling Board review and approval. The role involves working with requestors to establish specifications, researching and resolving routine customer and supplier disputes, and placing orders and purchases for the agency. The Sourcing Analyst will also provide mandatory use and compliance review, identify potential sources for goods and services, and post and distribute opportunities to potential suppliers.

What You Will Do

The main day-to-day responsibilities of the Sourcing Analyst include verifying that goods and services meet specifications, analyzing the need to determine if the proper level of detail is provided to be able to source the good or service, and resolving routine customer and supplier disputes regarding order status, changes, cancellations, shortages, delivery problems, and other problems.

Requirements

  • 18 months of experience or training in purchasing/procurement/sourcing
  • completion of an associate core program in public or business administration, purchasing/procurement, materials management, contracting, acquisition management, logistics, strategic procurement, purchasing management, supply chain management, or other sourcing-related fields
  • 6 months of experience as a Sourcing Associate, 64511
  • equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment
