Role OverviewThe Sourcing Manager will develop and implement strategies for best practices regarding cost, risk, and schedule balance for assigned commodities. The role involves project management and commodity buying responsibility, with a focus on delivering complex, custom-engineering solutions to a diverse customer base. The incumbent will have the opportunity to continuously improve processes and technical solutions to meet customer expectations.
What You Will Do
The Sourcing Manager will lead and manage overall supply chain activities, create and execute project-related optimized sourcing strategies, and perform market analysis to negotiate with suppliers. The role also involves coordinating purchasing activities with the global Material Group Manager and reviewing project purchasing budgets and activities.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, or Project Management, with a strong asset being experience in the Hydro industry. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Engineering discipline
- 3-5 years’ experience in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management or Project Management in multinational corporation
- Hydro experience is a strong asset
- Ability to build networks and work in cross-functional environment with different suppliers
- Strong negotiation skills
- Self-directed and detail-oriented with the desire to solve problems
- Strong work ethic with a positive attitude
- Knowledge of SAP software
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written)
- Technical knowledge on Generator components
