Role Overview

The Sourcing Quality Engineer is responsible for evaluating and auditing suppliers, building expertise in materials and supplier management, and ensuring suppliers meet defined specifications and industry standards. The role oversees communication with suppliers, drives supplier capability improvement, and manages supply-chain risk. The SQE Engineer supports high-speed optical module productions to achieve high product reliability and operational efficiency.

What You Will Do

Conduct on-site audits for new suppliers, assess compliance with industry standards, issue audit reports, and drive closure of corrective actions. Lead qualification of new suppliers and components, review supplier process flows, and validate supplier readiness for mass production.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • 2-7 years of experience in supplier quality, optical component manufacturing, or high-speed electronics
  • In-depth knowledge of optical transceiver components
  • Proven experience conducting supplier audits and managing supplier development programs
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
  • Familiarity with cleanroom operations, optical alignment processes, and high-speed electrical testing
  • Certifications such as CQE, CQA, or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt are a plus
