Job Description
The Sous Chef at Café Jardin is responsible for supporting the Executive Chef in achieving operational excellence, including cost optimization, inventory management, and food requisitions. The role involves managing kitchen staff, collaborating with the culinary team, and overseeing food production across all stations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three (3) years of culinary management experience in a premium or luxury casual dining setting
  • Culinary degree or equivalent formal culinary training from a recognized institution (highly preferred)
  • Current Food Manager Certification and valid Nevada health card
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and core computer applications
  • Fluent English communication skills—both written and verbal
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership capability and maintain composure under high-pressure service environments
  • Strategic mindset with strong organizational acumen
