Role Overview

We are looking for a Sous Chef to lead and inspire our kitchen staff in the creation of culinary masterpieces at the Grand Hyatt Washington hotel. This role will work primarily in our Banquet kitchen, with flexibility to help in other kitchen areas as needed. The position is crucial for maintaining the kitchen's efficiency and ensuring high-quality food production.

What You Will Do

Responsibilities include menu planning and designing plating presentation, ensuring all food meets quality standards and is served on time, hiring and training kitchen staff, collaborating with event operations management, optimizing staff productivity, managing kitchen workflow during peak times, managing product inventory and placing orders, ensuring safety and sanitation, monitoring industry trends, incorporating feedback, and managing scheduling, payroll, coaching, training, and development of team members.
