Job Description
Join our team as a Sous Chef at the Grand Hyatt Washington hotel in Washington, D.C. and be part of the opening team for our brand-new restaurant Oribu! We're looking for a creative and talented individual to lead and inspire our kitchen staff in the creation of culinary masterpieces.

Requirements

  • Menu planning and designing the plating presentation for each dish
  • Ensuring that all food meets the highest quality standards and is served on time
  • Hiring and training of kitchen staff to prepare and cook all menu items
  • Collaborating with restaurant operations team
  • Optimizing staff productivity
  • Managing product inventory and placing orders as needed
  • Ensuring best practices are followed for safety and sanitation in the kitchen
  • Monitoring new industry trends
  • Incorporating feedback from staff and guests to make improvements
  • Manage scheduling, payroll, coaching, training, and development of team members
  • Ensure full compliance with Department of Health regulations and Hyatt standards
