Job Description
The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Space Vehicle Engineer to join their team in Chantilly, VA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical and aerospace engineering, with experience in space vehicle design, assembly, and testing. The role involves working on multiple spacecraft programs, leading technical teams, and interacting with government customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field
  • 2 years or more of applicable professional experience in mechanical design and analysis, design for manufacturing, optical-mechanical systems, environmental testing, propulsion, mechanisms, guidance and controls, thermal engineering, structures, aerospace engineering, or multi-disciplinary project management
  • Experience in a laboratory / AI&T / Factory setting
  • Knowledge of space vehicle bus and/or payload subsystems and interfaces
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance with CI poly issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
