Job Description
Classroom assistant for special education students with various disabilities, assisting teachers with instruction and daily living skills. Lifts and positions students, provides personal hygiene services, and assists with feeding and medical tasks.

Requirements

  • Valid TASN (NCLB) paraprofessional license from the Illinois State Board of Education
  • 60 semester hours of college credit or successful completion of a paraprofessional exam (Work Keys or Parapro)
  • Good knowledge of student disabilities, English grammar and spelling, and basic mathematics
