Assists Special Education teachers in elementary and high schools with students with various disabilities, providing instruction, personal care, and support. Requires a valid TASN paraprofessional license and knowledge of student disabilities, English grammar, and basic mathematics.

Requirements

  • Valid TASN paraprofessional license from the Illinois State Board of Education
  • Good knowledge of student disabilities, English grammar, and basic mathematics
  • Ability to work with students with various disabilities, ages birth to twenty-one (21) years old
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions and direction
  • Good oral and written communication skills
