Role OverviewUnder the general direction of the school principal, and under the immediate supervision of a Special Education teacher, assists in the instruction of disabled students, and performs related duties as required.
What You Will Do
Assists Special Education teachers in reinforcing efforts with children with various disabilities, provides one-on-one tutoring services, and assists students with orthopedic impairments.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Must possess a valid TASN (NCLB) paraprofessional license from the Illinois State Board of Education, and have good knowledge of the characteristics of students with various disabilities, English grammar and spelling, and basic mathematics.
