Job Description
Provide and supervise comprehensive educational services and intervention to preschool children in an inclusive, small, non-public special education setting. Adapt lesson plans, provide direct instruction, and collaboratively manage classroom activities with early childhood teacher while supervising support staff.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Special Education or Education and NYS teaching certification
  • NYS Students with Disabilities (Birth-Grade 2) credential
  • Teaching or early childhood program experience
  • Knowledge of autism and other developmental disabilities
  • Proficiency in or knowledge of using a variety of computer software and e-mail applications
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Positive outlook and attitude
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. independently and assist in lifting weights exceeding 50 lbs.
