Role OverviewThe Special Education Assistant will provide support services for identified students assigned to select regular and/or special education environments. They will work collaboratively with Inclusion Facilitators, Special Education Teachers, and Regular Education Teachers to provide students with academic, emotional, social, behavioral, and physical support.
What You Will Do
The Special Education Assistant will work 7 hours per day during the school year only, providing support services to students in regular and/or special education environments.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The successful candidate will be required to complete a pre-employment Physical and TB Test, and must have current clearances, including Child Abuse History Clearance, PA Criminal Record Check, and FBI Fingerprint Clearance.
Requirements
- 48 credits of a post-secondary education
- Associates Degree
- successful completion of the ParaPro Assessment
- Current clearances (Child Abuse History Clearance, PA Criminal Record Check, FBI Fingerprint Clearance)
- Mandated Reporter of Child Abuse Training
- Successful completion of a pre-employment Physical and TB Test
