Role OverviewThe Special Education Paraprofessional supports the academic and behavioral success of students with disabilities under the supervision of a licensed Special Education Teacher. The Paraprofessional assists with instructional tasks, classroom management, and the implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), while gaining hands-on experience in a school-based setting.
What You Will Do
Assist students individually or in small groups under teacher direction, support the implementation of IEP accommodations and modifications, help maintain a safe, organized, and inclusive learning environment, monitor student behavior, and perform other duties as assigned.

Must demonstrate foundational professionalism, including consistent attendance, punctuality, adherence to school policies and procedures, and strong employability skills. Must have one of the following: two years of college experience, a two-year college degree, passed the Para-Pro Assessment, one year or 1,000 hours of previous employment experience in a school-level evaluation, or completed 48 credit hours of college-level classes.

- Experience working with children or individuals with disabilities preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow directions and adapt to various instructional strategies
