Role OverviewACCEL Schools is seeking a Special Education Teacher to provide a superior education for students with Individualized Education Programs. The teacher will work cooperatively with classroom teachers, conduct diagnostic assessments, and facilitate IEP meetings.
What You Will Do
Responsibilities include working with students with disabilities, conducting assessments, writing behavior improvement plans, and communicating with families. The teacher will also participate in planning and implementing non-instructional activities.

Requirements
- Current state license
- Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards
- Experience working in a full room inclusion type model or Co-Teaching in a Resource Room model
- High level of comfort working in a growth-focused coaching environment
- High quality written and verbal communication skills
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office products
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and contribute to a team
- Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks
