Role OverviewTeach students with diverse learning needs, work collaboratively with case managers, counselors, and general education teachers, and participate in a multidisciplinary team to promote students' well-being. The role involves setting goals for individualized education plans, tracking student progress, and providing instruction and support. The teacher will work under the supervision of the school principal and be responsible for creating a respectful classroom culture that promotes diversity and appreciation for different cultures, races, and languages.
What You Will Do
Design and deliver instruction, assess student learning, and respond to student needs. Create a safe and inclusive learning environment, manage student behaviors, and use technology resources to personalize student learning. The teacher will also prioritize student safety, advocate for the district's vision, and commit to equity, cultural competence, and high expectations.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution of higher education
- Valid teaching license issued by the Illinois State Board of Education, with the appropriate endorsement(s) for the role
