Role OverviewGersh Autism is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to serve as the Primary Educator for students. The teacher will lead daily instructional programs, communicate with parents, and access trainings to become familiar with software programs and tools. The teacher will use motivational skills and strategies to encourage students to learn and keep them engaged in their own education.

The main responsibilities include instruction and daily communication with students assigned to you in a school setting. You will lead daily instructional programs, communicate with parents, and access trainings to become familiar with software programs and tools. You will also use motivational skills and strategies to encourage students to learn and keep them engaged in their own education.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in education, special education, or a related field, and NY State Teaching Certification. Experience working with students with ADHD, LD, HFA, and other related disabilities is preferred. The teacher will work in a school setting, Monday – Friday, 8:00AM-3:30PM, with occasional before and after school work hours.

- Experience using Applied Behavioral Analysis (preferred)
- Experience in assessment and report writing (preferred)
