Role OverviewJoin KEYS Academy as a Special Education Teacher, working with students who have emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs. The role involves leading a structured, trauma-informed classroom, delivering meaningful instruction, and supporting students' communication skills, social development, and emotional regulation.
What You Will Do
Develop and deliver lesson plans, differentiate instruction, implement evidence-based teaching strategies, and create a safe and dignified classroom environment. You will also serve as a case manager for assigned students, develop Present Levels of Performance, and monitor student progress toward IEP goals.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Active Virginia teaching license in Special Education
- Endorsement in Emotional Disabilities (ED), Special Education General Curriculum K–12, or related Special Education endorsement
- Ability to maintain licensure and required certifications throughout employment
