Role OverviewThe Special Education Teacher will implement an individualized education program according to the specific needs of each child attending. They will work cooperatively with other disciplines in the delivery of support services and supervise student and practicum teachers as they are assigned.
What You Will Do
The main day-to-day responsibilities and outcomes of this role include completing an initial assessment of each child, establishing realistic long and short term goals and objectives, applying accepted methods of teaching, and periodically re-evaluating progress of the children assigned.

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- valid New York State Teacher Certificate in Special Education
