Role OverviewWe are seeking a full-time, short-term Special Education Teacher to serve a school located in Hartford, CT. The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a passion for working with students with special needs. The teacher will be responsible for providing teaching and case management services to students, conducting assessments, developing IEP plans, evaluating progress, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
What You Will Do
The responsibilities include developing, implementing, and assessing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities, delivering instruction tailored to meet the diverse learning styles and needs of students, and maintaining accurate records of student performance, behavior, and progress.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have a teaching certification, a bachelor's or master's degree in Special Education, and state licensure as a SPED teacher. Experience working with children and organizational and time management skills are also preferred.
