Role Overview

The Special Education Teacher will work directly with students to identify and fulfill needed educational services and supports as part of a student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP). The teacher will participate in IEP meetings and provide support to general education teachers regarding classroom interventions, student accommodations, modifications, and special education requirements.

What You Will Do

The primary job responsibilities include working with students with disabilities in small group settings or 1:1 setting, interacting directly with assigned students to fulfill IEP requirements, and providing instructional interventions and academic support to individual students or small groups.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, a valid Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card, and/or a satisfactory applicable state background check, as well as a current special education certificate valid in the relevant jurisdiction.

  • Current special education certificate valid in the relevant jurisdiction
