Role OverviewBASIS Mesa is seeking a Special Education Teacher to work with students with disabilities in small group settings or 1:1 setting. The role involves working directly with students to identify and fulfill needed educational services and supports as part of a student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP).
What You Will Do
The Special Education Teacher will provide instructional interventions and academic support to individual students or small groups, and ensure compliance with all state and federal special education requirements.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with students with disabilities, and will be able to develop a working knowledge and understanding of general education curriculum to adapt the content appropriately to deliver specially designed instruction to eligible students with disabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Valid Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card and/or satisfactory applicable state background check
- Current special education certificate valid in relevant jurisdiction
- CPR and First Aid
