Special Education Teacher

Requirements

• Implement curricula according to MA State Curriculum Frameworks and Common Core Standards
• Teach classes using various methods and materials
• Employ differentiated instructional strategies to meet the needs of all students
• Maintain first aid, CPR and TCI certification
• Deliver structured lessons and activities for assigned class period
• Provide individualized intervention and accommodation when necessary
• Participate in assessment practices in regards to Academy's IAP program
• Assist in and/or develop IEPs as appropriate
• Establish and maintain open communication with parents and guardians
