Role OverviewSpecial Education Teachers in the School Age Program are creative, energetic, career-oriented therapists who are motivated to educate individuals with developmental disabilities in an ungraded self-contained classroom.
What You Will Do
The Teacher sets up the classroom, structures the schedule, and follows procedures in setting up program books and data collection systems for the purpose of implementing the IEPs of the students in the class.

Requirements
- Must possess a master’s degree and NYS Teaching Certification in Special Education.
- Experience working with developmentally disabled individuals is preferred.
- Interest in working with developmentally disabled individuals is required.
- Must possess good interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
