Special Events Inspector

The selected candidate will inspect roadway/street defects and openings in preparation for Citywide Special Events, and ensure that all repairs have been corrected and verified. The inspector will also act as a liaison for the agency with other DOT divisions, City agencies, State agencies, utility companies, and contractors.

What You Will Do

Inspect roadway/street defects, evaluate conditions, take action, re-inspect, respond to complaints, and ensure compliance with DOT Rules and Regulations. The inspector will also oversee repairs, ensure defects are identified and reported, and coordinate and expedite repair work prior to the event.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The selected candidate will be expected to properly route daily work, search, inspect, log, and maintain all field work using a tablet and submit daily reports, forms, and sketches. The inspector will also be responsible for maintaining field and office equipment, operating a passenger vehicle, and monitoring its mileage.
