Job Description
Join us as a Special Investigator and help protect the health and safety of Connecticut residents! The State of Connecticut, Department of Public Health (DPH) is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to serve as a Special Investigator within the Practitioner Licensing and Investigations Section (PLIS) of the Healthcare Quality & Safety Branch.

Requirements

  • Conduct investigations of alleged violations of state statutes, regulations, and standards related to licensed healthcare practitioners and regulated entities.
  • Interview complainants, witnesses, and subjects of investigations.
  • Secure evidence including statements, documents, medical records, and other relevant materials.
  • Analyze and evaluate records and data to identify facts, patterns, and compliance concerns.
  • Research applicable laws, regulations, and standards of care.
  • Compile findings and prepare clear, thorough written reports.
  • Respond to public inquiries related to investigations and licensing.
  • Prepare affidavits and other legal documents as required.
  • Testify at administrative hearings and in court.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.
