The Special Officer / Peace Officer will provide physical security, safety, and maintenance of order in accordance with agency procedures. The role involves screening employees and visitors, operating and monitoring security equipment, and patrolling designated areas to maintain order and preserve the peace.

The main day-to-day responsibilities of the Special Officer / Peace Officer include screening employees and visitors, operating and monitoring security equipment, patrolling designated areas, making arrests and issuing summonses, and responding to emergency and security incidents.

Requirements

  • A valid New York State driver’s license with a minimum of two (2) years of driving experience
  • CPR Certification

  • Abilities to resolve conflicts and multitask
  • Ability to attend, complete, and maintain State and agency training requirements
