Requirements

• Join metal parts using electric arc-welding equipment
• Unite pipes from torch to tanks of oxygen and fuel gas
• Adjust flow of gas and air to reach expected temperature, size, and color of flame
• Fill holes or correct mistakes in lead pieces and make bulges thin and curves in metal work pieces
• Check weakness of work pieces and measure with straightedge or template to ensure piece meets specifications
• Use thermal-cutting equipment to dismount metal assemblies or cut scrap metal
• Use hoist, crane, wire and banding machine, or hand tools to place and protect work pieces
• Instruct and bring flame or electrodes on or across work piece to straighten, curve, dissolve, or develop metal
