PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Conducts administrative tasks, reporting, and communication functions related to assessments, interviews, and performance appraisals across team services.
o Administers and processes assessments, surveys, and appraisals, including distributing, scoring, and tracking results.
o Tracks and updates results, ensuring accurate storage and organization of hiring assessments and employee data.
o Uses Applicant Tracking System to update candidate information.
o Schedules and proctors assessment sessions.
o Uses technology platforms to track, monitor, and report on analytics, employee selection, & performance.
• Evaluates job roles, assesses hiring tools, and analyzes data to improve employee selection and assessment processes.
o Collaborates with internal stakeholders to evaluate job roles, define work requirements, and validate selection processes and assessment tools.
o Analyzes and reports on the performance of selection and assessment tools.
o Prepares and communicates selection plans and validation results to departmental clients.
o Assesses need for and develops job analysis instruments and materials.
o Performs qualitative and quantitative analyses using Excel and statistical software; reports descriptive and inferential statistics, data tables, charts and other data visualizations.
• Designs and manages talent processes, communicates technical information, and facilitates trainings.
o Assists in the design, development, and administration of talent surveys, assessments, selection tools, performance management processes, and talent analytics.
o Effectively communicates technical information to non-technical audiences through emails, reports, in-person conversations, training sessions, and virtual meetings.
o Regularly monitors and responds to candidate inquiries and client requests regarding employee selection.
o Facilitates training sessions and workshops on interviewing techniques, resume review, performance management, and other talent related topics.
• Assists with the planning, development, and execution of talent analytic processes and projects.
o Assists with planning and developing processes related to selection, analytics, and performance management.
o Develops written and video content to communicate to applicants and internal stakeholders.
o Consults with internal department stakeholders to solve talent management issues via assessments, performance management, and/or talent analytic reporting.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Human Resources, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Educational Testing and Measurement, or a related field, or a combination of equivalent education and experience.
• One year of experience in job analysis or competency modeling and assessment or survey development and administration preferred.
• Graduate level training in Industrial/Organizational Psychology preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Requires remaining in a stationary position for extended periods of time and constantly operating a computer and other office productivity machinery.
• Service Area Requirement: Exempt (Non-Union) employees must live within the boundaries of the CTA Statutory Service Area either at the time of employment or within 6 months of beginning employment at CTA.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
• Working knowledge of psychology - human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation; psychological research methods; and the assessment of traits, behaviors, and affect.
• Working knowledge of a variety of Microsoft Office applications.
• Working knowledge of at least one statistics program/software (R, SPSS, SAS, etc.).
• Working knowledge of questionnaire, survey, or assessment design and validation
• Working knowledge of job analysis and/or competency modeling
• General knowledge of employment laws and regulations governing the employment assessment and selection process.

WORKING CONDITIONS
• General office environment.
• Travel to various field and work locations.
• Occasionally exposed to usual garage, terminal, shop and field conditions, e.g. electrically energized conductors, moving trains and other vehicular traffic, machinery, existing weather conditions, etc.
