Role Overview

The Riverside County Office of Education (RCOE) is seeking a Specialized Academic Instructor (SAI) Teacher to support the county's 23 school districts. The successful candidate will have experience relevant to the duties set forth in the SAI Teacher job description and hold a valid California Multiple or Single Subject Teaching Credential, as well as a valid California Mild/Moderate or equivalent Special Education credential.

What You Will Do

The main day-to-day responsibilities and outcomes for this role include providing specialized academic instruction to students, leading programs for preschool, special education, pregnant minor, corrections, migrant, and vocational students, and offering professional training, support, and resources for teachers, administrators, and staff throughout Riverside County.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university
  • Valid California Multiple or Single Subject Teaching Credential
  • Valid California Mild/Moderate or equivalent Special Education credential
  • English Learner certification
  • Compliance with the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) at the secondary level in Math, Science, English, and Social Science
  • Valid California Driver's License may be required
