Job Description
HOK is seeking an Architectural Specification Writer to join their team in Denver, Kansas City, or St. Louis. The role involves developing comprehensive project specifications and supporting project teams in construction document coordination, interpretation, and execution.

Requirements

  • Review architectural drawings and project information to write and edit project specifications
  • Interpret project design and delivery requirements
  • Prepare and review procurement and contracting requirements
  • Review sustainability goals and provide informed guidance on material selection
  • Assist with quality management reviews and offer technical expertise
  • Collaborate with the firmwide specifications team to ensure consistency and knowledge sharing
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local and national vendors
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of the firm's Master Specifications
  • Support integration of specifications into digital project delivery tools
