Role Overview

LabCorp is seeking a Specimen Processor I to join our team in Anniston, AL. This role involves preparing laboratory specimens for analysis and testing in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm with a 1-hour lunch.

What You Will Do

Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing, unpack and route specimens to staging areas, accurately identify and label specimens, pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities, meet department activity and production goals, properly prepare and store excess specimen samples, perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely, and resolve and document any problem specimens.

This role requires a High School diploma or GED, comfort handling biological specimens, ability to accurately identify specimens, strong data entry and organizational skills, high attention to detail, experience with MS Office, ability to lift up to 40lbs, and ability to pass a standardized color blindness test. Preferred qualifications include 1 year or more experience in lab, accessioning, production, manufacturing, or warehouse.
