Role Overview

Join a group of passionate advocates on our mission to improve the lives of youth as a SPED Certified Teacher at Canyon State Academy. You will work collaboratively with staff in a supportive fashion emphasizing a positive attitude toward students, staff and program. The role involves implementing and adhering to the principles of Positive Operational Culture and providing instructional services to students.

What You Will Do

Your primary responsibilities will be to implement instructional strategies, deliver curriculum, and assess student learning. You will also work with staff to deliver a consistent curriculum and implement a team approach to working with students.

Requirements

  • Current and valid State teaching credential in English, Math, Science, and/or Special Education k-12
  • Related experience working with at-risk youth
  • Three or more years of successful classroom teaching
  • Knowledge of instructional strategies, methodologies, and effective classroom management techniques
  • Ability to establish a teaching rapport with students, diagnose and evaluate student progress, and collaborate with staff
