Role Overview

Assist a teacher in a middle school setting, providing support with instructional materials, classroom management, and student care. The role requires adapting to each student's special needs and working with the teacher to develop motor skills and conduct instructional exercises.

What You Will Do

Prepare instructional materials, maintain a neat classroom, assist with inventory and equipment care, and help with administrative records and reports. You will also provide orientation to substitutes, assist students with physical disabilities, and help manage student behavior.

Why It Might Be a Fit

This role requires a paraprofessional certificate, a high school diploma or equivalent, and one of the following: an associate degree, 48 college credit hours, or passing an academic assessment. You should have demonstrated knowledge of child growth and development, ability to work with diverse groups, and effective communication skills.
