SPED Self-Contained Teacher (Grades: EC-5)

Requirements

• Collaborate with students, parents, and staff to develop Individual Education Plans (IEP)
• Implement instructional and therapeutic programs for assigned students
• Plan and use learning strategies and activities
• Work with classroom teachers to modify curricula
• Participate in ARD Committee meetings
• Present subject matter according to IEP guidelines
• Conduct ongoing assessments of student achievement
• Maintain and file all reports and records
• Create a classroom environment conducive to learning
• Manage student behavior and administer discipline
• Comply with federal, state, district, and school regulations and policies
