SPED Self-Contained Teacher (Grades: K-6)

Requirements

• Collaborate with students, parents, and staff to develop IEPs
• Implement instructional programs and show written evidence of preparation
• Plan and use appropriate instructional strategies and materials
• Work cooperatively with classroom teachers
• Participate in ARD Committee meetings
• Consult with classroom teachers regarding student behavior
• Conduct ongoing assessments of student achievement
• Maintain and file required documents
• Create a classroom environment conducive to learning
