Speech Language Pathologist

We are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team for a full-time, school-based opportunity in Chestertown, MD for the 2026–2027 school year. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you'll help students develop the speech, language, and communication skills needed to access their education and participate successfully in the school environment. You'll work with students as outlined below, with support from both the district and the TheraPeds team.

What You Will Do

Your responsibilities may include: providing direct speech and language therapy services to students individually and in small groups, conducting speech and language evaluations and assessments, developing, implementing, and monitoring individualized IEP goals, evaluating student progress and adjusting intervention strategies based on student needs and data, providing consultation and support to teachers, special education staff, and families, and supporting students with articulation, phonology, receptive and expressive language, fluency, voice, social/pragmatic communication, and other communication needs.

Requirements

• Master's or doctoral degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program
• Active or eligible for Maryland Speech-Language Pathologist licensure
• Appropriate Maryland Department of Education certification or credential for school-based practice, as required
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
• Clinical Fellowship (CF-SLP) candidates may be considered, with appropriate supervision available
• Experience working with children
• School-based experience preferred, but not required
