Speech Language Pathologist

We are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team for a full-time, school-based opportunity in Hamtramck, Michigan for the 2026–2027 school year. As a school-based SLP, you'll help students develop the speech, language, and communication skills needed to access their education and participate successfully in the school environment.

What You Will Do

Your responsibilities may include providing direct speech and language therapy services to students individually and in small groups, conducting speech and language evaluations and assessments, developing and implementing individualized IEP goals, and supporting students with articulation, phonology, receptive and expressive language, fluency, voice, social/pragmatic communication, and other communication needs.

Requirements

• Master's or doctoral degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program
• Active or eligible for Michigan Speech-Language Pathologist licensure
• Appropriate Michigan Department of Education certification or credential for school-based practice, as required
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
• Clinical Fellowship (CF-SLP) candidates may be considered, with appropriate supervision available
• Experience working with children
• School-based experience preferred, but not required
• Strong understanding of speech and language development, assessment, intervention, and progress monitoring
• Knowledge of the IEP process and special education services
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organizational, documentation, case-management, and time-management skills
• Comfortable using technology for documentation, communication, assessment, and service delivery
• Ability to successfully complete required fingerprinting and background clearances
• Ability to work collaboratively with students, families, educators, administrators, and related-service professionals
• Professionalism, tact, discretion, and respect for student and family confidentiality
